Asian bet line is a point advantage assigned by bookmakers for favorite team to even the game. It is offered in decimal starting from 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75 and goes on. Asian bet line had just began gaining it's popularity in Europe for the past couple of years while actually, it had been around in Asian regions for a long time.

Unlike fixed odds, Asian bet line could gives us an idea of the score line. From the odds movement, odds given by bookmakers and the money line offered, experienced punters could take advantage of it. One real world example I would like to provide:

A match between Kontu Helsinki vs. Mikkelin Palloilijat on 24 August 2008. Before the game start, bookies assigned 0.5 point advantage for Kontu Helsinki with Mikkelin's money line -1.190. This means that if we bet on Mikkelin, then we need them to win at least by a goal. If the match come up as a draw or lose, we will lose out bet by 19% more. For every $100 bet, we will pay $119. This number is taken by multiplying $100 and 1.190.

Bookmakers seem to expect Mikkelin to win the match. Half point advantage given by away team is a strong signal that away team is the favorite team. But here comes the tricky part:

The odd is maintained in that value until the first 10 minutes of the game. All of sudden, The bet line given "0.5" drops to "0". Why does a favorite team giving up its bet line by only 10 minutes of play? Even worst, money line is flipping from Mikkelin's side to Kontu's advantage. Does it sound like a signal to you?
